MOVING SERVICES

Making Room For Repairs

When fire, smoke, water or other damage hits a property, your belongings often need to be moved before cleanup or structural repairs can start. Our moving services are built specifically around the restoration process.

Whether items need to be shifted to another part of the home, held in temporary onsite storage, taken to a secure facility, or brought back once repairs are finished, our team coordinates how your personal property moves throughout the claim.

Restoring a home often means more than moving things out of the way. It means carefully managing what happens to your belongings from start to finish.

Moving Services During Fire

& Water Damage Repairs

Contractors and mitigation crews often need clear access to walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets and other damaged areas of the home. When your belongings are in the way, we can handle relocating, storing and returning them as part of the restoration.

Move furniture and contents from one room, floor, or area of the home to another

Relocate belongings to a designated area within the home

Box loose contents for temporary storage

Arrange items inside an onsite storage pod or container

Transport belongings to our facility when offsite storage is needed

Return furniture and boxed contents once the home is ready

Onsite Relocation

Vs. Offsite Storage

Not every loss calls for a full contents pack-out.

When possible, belongings can simply be moved from the damaged area to another safe spot in the home. For example, items may go from one level to another so flooring can be replaced or a room repaired.

If there isn't enough space inside, an onsite storage pod can hold belongings while structural work is underway.

For longer projects, larger losses, or when onsite storage isn't suitable, belongings can be taken to our facility and stored securely until the home is ready.

Our aim is to choose the option that fits the loss while keeping handling of your belongings to a minimum.

Boxing & Protecting

Your Contents

When contents need to go into storage, our team will usually box items unless you tell us otherwise.

Furniture and larger household items are moved as needed, while smaller items are packed to keep them organized and protected during the restoration.

This is different from a full Contents Pack-Out & Inventory service, which can include a detailed inventory, documentation, restoration assessment, non-restorable identification, cleaning and other claim-related work.

With moving-only services, the main goal is to safely relocate belongings so work on the property can continue.

Returning Your Belongings

After Repairs

Once the home is ready and any delivery requirements are met, we can coordinate the return of belongings that were moved or stored.

During the move-back, our team will:

Furniture: Bring furniture back to the right rooms and set it in place.

Boxed Contents: Place boxes in the rooms or areas the homeowner chooses.

Stored Items: Coordinate the return of belongings from our facility or the onsite storage unit.

With moving-only services, homeowners handle unpacking boxes and putting items back into cabinets, drawers, closets, shelves and other spots.

Unless noted otherwise, this distinction sets clear expectations before the move-back begins.

Moving during a restoration is different from a typical household move. We work within the wider restoration process, coordinating with homeowners, mitigation teams, structural contractors, insurance professionals and everyone else involved in the claim.

That keeps the movement of your personal property in step with what is happening at the home, from first mitigation through reconstruction and the final return.
